Awoken by Jamie being sick, but it wasn't much or very early either so it was soon cleared up and we got on with another beautiful, but again coolish day – at least the wind has dropped.
We'd nothing much planned for today so just general relaxing and messing about. After lunch we took Jamie down to the beach, about a 10 minute walk, to find coarse grey sand and lots of motorhomes “wildcamping” around the edges. Looked okay for an overnight but no facilities of course although we did see a beach water-fountain and a couple of toilet cabins – probably closed but we didn't check them out.
Wander back to Bertie for afternoon cuppa and cake – we've finished the Christmas cake and are on to the last of the mince pies but still got a couple of boxes of biscuits. Not so good for somebody's diet intentions................
We've had a look around the site and it is quite pleasant, most pitches having a hedge surround and the occasional tree for shade. Occupants are mixed, many nationalities and about half/half caravans and motorhomes. Most of the caravans are long-term residents, having spoken to a few, but looking at the turnover we've noticed motorhomes don't stay very long unless they're carrying additional transport. There really isn't very much to do locally so a few days is probably enough, as it will be for us no doubt.
